Phu Quoc island not only has blue skies, white sand and golden sunshine, but also boasts the romantic hues of sunset on the sea, a rare beauty in Vietnam. And what has surprised many visitors lately is the sprawling Mediterranean town that has arisen on Phu Quoc like a beautiful dream. Rows of redtiled houses with green window frames and flower trellises, bell towers, iconic buildings and statues, all echo locations such as Sorrento and Amalfi, creating a magnificent and poetic setting on cliffs over the turquoise sea.

The Mediterranean dream in Phu Quoc has inspired one of Vietnamese fashion’s most talented designers, Le Thanh Hoa, to create the collection “Like the Sunshine.” Designs feature a delicate look in shades of bright yellow, orange and pure white. Textures are created through sophisticated pleating, while the technique of applying individual pieces of organza creates visual interest.
