As a specialized product designed by Vietnam Airlines for the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route, super-fast VNAXPRESS flights, since being launched in July 2020, have enriched passengers’ experiences on the world’s fourth-busiest route.

The new standard

Having evolved from an “easy to choose around the clock” product, VNAXPRESS has a very high-frequency flying schedule at easy-to-remember on-the-hour flight times with simple, fast, and flexible procedures that shorten wait times and meet passengers’ needs to travel at any time, much like an “express train in the air”.

From November 2022, Vietnam Airlines has upgraded VNAXPRESS to a new standard with many outstanding utilities that suit different customers, including businesspeople, public officials, those visiting family, tourists, and people who demand high service quality from the moment of departure to the end of their flight. Passengers flying between Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City can easily check in online from anywhere, at any time, at least 40 minutes before departure time, and enjoy priority check-in at a designated area in the airport. Passengers, especially the elderly, children, those in poor health, and others who require assistance will be served and supported by professional staff at a special booth until flight time.

Vietnam Airlines offers passengers an international 4-star service experience with a variety of outstanding utilities during flights, such as the free PressReader app that gives access to more than 7,000 online newspapers and magazines in 60 languages; an E-reader on the entertainment system; the VNA-FPT Play entertainment app; inflight entertainment programs  with more than 500 shows with a total showtime of more than 600 hours; and spacious chairs on extra wide-body aircraft. In addition, passengers on the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route will have the chance to enjoy special dishes from different regions of Vietnam, including Hanoi’s bun cha, Hue’s steamed rice with lotus seeds, Quang noodles, Hoi An cao lau, Saigon noodles, and snakehead fish steamed with gourd in a Southwestern style, etc.

Along with improving the “hard assets” of this product, Vietnam Airlines is particularly focusing on the “soft assets” in which the human factor is “the key to differentiation and the long-term competitive advantage” of VNAXPRESS. Friendly, enthusiastic, and dedicated staff and flight attendants who are well-trained in Vietnam Airlines’ five core values of customer service are helping to set a new standard and create excellent experiences for customers on this “super-fast” trans-Vietnam route. This model will be replicated on many different routes in the future.

Last-minute ticket purchase up to 60 minutes before departure time (instead of 120 minutes as usual) at agency/websites/mobile apps and Vietnam Airlines’s ticket counters in airports.

 Separate check-in counters near the security screening exit are located between counters B5 and B7 in Hanoi and between B7 and B10 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Opportunity to fly earlier thanks to free flight changes even after passing through security screening within 120 minutes before departure time if seats are available.
