Beginning June 16, Vietnam Airlines will launch a lotus-inspired seasonal experience across its customer journey, featuring lotus-themed cuisine, signature beverages, curated artistic displays, and the airline’s exclusive fragrance LotuScent. Drawing inspiration from the lotus flower, the initiative celebrates the richness of Vietnamese culture and identity through thoughtfully curated experiences inspired by the country’s traditions, flavors, and heritage.
The campaign will be introduced across Vietnam Airlines’ Lotus Lounge network and onboard flights throughout the summer. From menus to service spaces and signature fragrance, every detail has been thoughtfully designed around the lotus theme, offering passengers a journey inspired by the imagery, flavors, and spirit of Vietnam.
Lotus stems, seeds, and leaves have long been treasured ingredients in Vietnamese cuisine, valued not only for their distinctive flavors but also for their nutritional benefits. Drawing on these traditional ingredients, Vietnam Airlines is introducing a range of seasonal dishes, including West Lake lotus stem salad, sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves, lotus blossom spring rolls, chicken rolls with green rice flakes and lotus seeds, eight-treasure lotus seed chicken rolls, sweet sticky rice dessert with lotus seeds, alongside other dishes featuring lotus seeds and locally sourced Vietnamese produce. Beyond enriching the dining experience, these offerings evoke familiar flavors that have been part of Vietnamese culinary traditions for generations.
Complementing the lotus-inspired menu is a curated selection of beverages featuring lotus tea, golden lotus tea with longan, and lotus heart tea infused with red dates and goji berries. Delicate and refreshing, these drinks reflect the refinement of Vietnamese and Eastern tea culture while offering passengers a wider variety of inflight refreshments.
As Vietnam becomes increasingly connected with the world, preserving and promoting traditional values extends beyond heritage sites, festivals, and cultural institutions. Today, elements of Vietnamese culture are increasingly reflected in contemporary products and services, bringing heritage into everyday experiences. From culinary traditions and tea culture to modern travel experiences, these cultural values continue to be preserved and shared in ways that are both authentic and accessible.
Dang Anh Tuan, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines, said: “The lotus flower has long been associated with both Vietnamese culture and the Vietnam Airlines brand. This seasonal initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to incorporating distinctive cultural elements into every stage of the customer journey. By drawing inspiration from the lotus flower and traditional Vietnamese culinary ingredients, we aim not only to enrich the travel experience, but also to introduce Vietnamese cuisine, culture and identity to travelers from around the world.”
This initiative builds on Vietnam Airlines’ longstanding use of the lotus as a source of inspiration across its brand experience. In late 2025, the airline became the first carrier in Vietnam to introduce its own signature fragrance, LotuScent, inspired by the lotus blossom. The fragrance remains a distinctive feature of this year’s campaign, reflecting the airline’s commitment to translating Vietnamese cultural values into thoughtful and contemporary travel experiences.
Through lotus-inspired cuisine, beverages, onboard ambience and seasonal offerings, Vietnam Airlines continues to celebrate the richness of Vietnamese culture while offering travelers a deeper appreciation of the country’s heritage, traditions and identity.
