Inspired by the charm of princesses at a feudal wedding and combined with a love for the áo dài, Vietnam’s national dress, Do Trinh Hoai Nam has launched his latest collection, “Golden Lotuses.” Designs feature velvet and the sophisticated gilding techniques of artisans along with Hoai Nam’s signature floral brocade on updated áo dài silhouettes.

“Golden Lotuses” is a triumph of exquisite craftsmanship, from gilding to gem and metal studding to embroidered sequin patterns on a background of smooth Bordeaux red velvet adorned with classical patterns and prints. The result is an elegant and classical áo dài collection which still reflect contemporary fashion trends.

The collection was along the beautiful and rugged coast of Port Campbell, Australia, near the stunning limestone stacks known as the Twelve Apostles.
