On August 23, 2023, Hue will be holding a ceremony to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum. Running concurrently with this event will be an exhibition titled “The 100-year Journey from Musée Khai Dinh to the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum”. Founded in 1923, the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum was initially known as the Musée Khai Dinh – one of the first museums in Vietnam. It serves as a repository and exhibition space for antique collections from old Hue, most of which date from the Nguyen Dynasty’s imperial court.
