With a groundbreaking vision and an unwavering commitment to innovation, the national flag carrier officially activated In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) services on its Airbus A350 aircraft on July 28, 2025. Bringing Wi-Fi to Vietnam Airlines’ flights makes each journey more complete, ensuring passengers stay connected and never miss an important moment, even at 10,000 meters above ground.

Starting in 2026, IFC service will be available across the entire fleet

This marks a significant milestone in Vietnam Airlines’ digital transformation and a pioneering step in applying technology to enhance service quality. With just one touch, you can continue working, reply to birthday messages from friends, or share special moments while enjoying a delicious meal on board. Instead of being “offline in the clouds”, passengers can maintain continuous connectivity, whether flying over oceans or across continents.

Premium experience, breakthrough technology

In the first phase, IFC will be deployed on Vietnam Airlines’ Airbus A350 fleet – a symbol of modernity and luxury – serving long-haul routes to the US and Europe. Passengers can easily identify Wi-Fi-enabled flights through announcements at check-in counters, boarding gates, personal entertainment screens, and the in-flight public address system.

Passengers can choose from a range of flexible Wi-Fi packages

Flexible Wi-Fi packages will be offered, from basic messaging to full internet access. Passengers can pay via international cards once the aircraft reaches cruising altitude, providing a convenient and personalized experience.

Each passenger will receive 15 minutes of complimentary Wi-Fi for messaging – a welcome gift marking the arrival of a new era of uninterrupted connectivity. Notably, Business Class passengers will enjoy unlimited Wi-Fi access, reflecting the spirit of “premium service – privileged technology”.

After the complimentary period, passengers on international flights will be able to choose from a range of flexible Wi-Fi packages, from basic messaging to full internet access. These packages can be conveniently purchased using international payment cards, providing a seamless and personalized onboard experience. For domestic flights, passengers will soon enjoy IFC services as onboard Wi-Fi payments are gradually rolled out in the near future.

From 2026 onward, Vietnam Airlines plans to expand this service across its entire fleet, enabling seamless connectivity for passengers anytime, anywhere.
