Wildlife is a captivating yet challenging subject for photographers, always evoking emotion with each press of the shutter. Photographer Nguyen Thi Minh Hai has dedicated considerable time and passion to capturing wildlife photos both in Vietnam and abroad.
Her photography journeys have taken her deep into forests and over mountain ranges throughout Vietnam, along snowy trails in Japan, and across the vast deserts of Africa. These adventures have not only enriched her photographic archive but also deepened her love for wildlife, inspiring her to continue pursuing her passion for animal photography.
Behind every stunning frame lies hardship and perseverance—but also a powerful, humanistic message. “I’m drawn to this subject because of my love for nature,” said Ms. Minh Hai. “I also want to learn about the behavior and habitat of each species I photograph.”
Witnessing different creatures’ expressions and emotions has filled Ms. Minh Hai with a sense of wonder. “The bond between mothers and their offspring is especially striking, as when young birds open their beaks waiting for their mother to bring food, or a mother bird spreads her wings in the rain to protect her tiny chicks. Then there are the young lemurs clinging tightly to their mother’s back as she swiftly moves from branch to branch. Maternal love in the animal world always makes me think about how to protect these species,” said Ms. Minh Hai. “Just like humans, they deserve to be happy in their natural world. I hope my photos can inspire the community to join hands in protecting the environment for all animal species.”
