The Statue of Christ the King

Formed by two peaks, Nui Nho Mountain is home to many of Vung Tau’s most scenic spots. While the smaller peak houses the lighthouse, the larger one is home to the Statue of Christ the King. Visitors climb nearly 800 steps to reach the statue’s base before ascending an additional 130 narrow and spiraling indoor steps to reach the statue’s shoulders. From here, one can admire Bai Sau Beach and part of Vung Tau city.

The Statue of Christ the King was built in 1974 but was not inaugurated until 20 years later. The statue stands 32 meters-high. Its outstretched arms span approximately 18 meters. The face of Christ the King is sculpted with a benevolent expression, imparting a sense of peace and positive energy.
