In the heart of Vietnam’s beloved Central region, the sea off Danang resembles a picturesque landscape painting, the coast cupped by calm blue waves.

With over 90 km of coastline, Danang boasts many beautiful beaches that stretch along the curve from Danang Bay and Son Tra Peninsula through the city center and on to the intersection with Dien Ngoc commune in Quang Nam province. Beaches like Tien Sa, Tho Quang, Man Thai, Pham Van Dong, My Khe, Nam O, etc. create a poetic beauty, adding to the charm of this vibrant coastal city, beloved by tourists.
Located just 3km from the bustling city center, My Khe is the most famous beach in Danang—even known abroad. Mentioning My Khe evokes gently sloping, smooth golden sand and crystal-clear blue water. It’s no wonder that this beach has received continual accolades from reputable domestic and international travel sites and media.

As early as 2005, the popular American magazine Forbes voted My Khe Beach as one of the six most beautiful beaches on the planet. In 2023, My Khe secured the eighth spot on a list of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in Asia, according to the digital platform TripAdvisor.
Another part of the city’s coastline, Pham Van Dong Beach, is also popular with locals and tourists. On the shore, luxurious hotels stand side by side with colorful bars, and rows of cool green coconut palms, creating a scene that is modern and romantic.
Those who enjoy water sports should head to Man Thai Beach or Hon Sup at the break of dawn to paddleboard. As the sun rises, its first rays shimmer on the water, illuminating the colorful paddleboards of tourists and locals gliding over the gentle waves. Against the blue sea, the paddleboards add vibrant colors, filling Man Thai with the energy of a new day.

Also at Man Thai Beach or Tho Quang Beach, visitors can join fishermen to help haul in their nets. In the afternoons, visitors on Tho Quang Beach eagerly pull in nets or buy fresh seafood directly from the fishermen. The rhythm of daily life is felt through the sounds of the waves and the lively bustle of the fish market set up on the shore. Sunlight falling on the women’s baskets adds a beautiful touch to the colors of life and labor. In the distance, the blue fishing boats, weathered by time, still proudly fly the red flag with a yellow star, symbolizing the vitality and spirit of the local fishing community.
For those seeking tranquility and seclusion, Nam O Beach and Tien Sa Beach are ideal destinations. Tien Sa is adorned with rock formations resembling hidden jade beneath Son Tra Peninsula, while Nam O is like a simple yet beautiful ink painting, as graceful as a shy maiden. Just listening to the waves and gazing at the distant horizon refreshes the soul, uplifting and opening the spirit.
With its blend of modernity and untamed beauty, Danang offers a haven for nature lovers—a place to rest, relax, and recharge amid the fresh energy of this coastal city.
