Ba Dinh Square is best known as the site where the Declaration of Independence was read on September 2nd, 1945, marking the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Eighty years later, on September 2nd, 2025, Ba Dinh Square will be the main venue in the grand celebrations to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19th, 1945 – August 19th, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2nd, 1945 – September 2nd, 2025).
A80 – A parade to remember
* This event will feature a ceremonial military parade and march, including Mission A80 – a special highlight.

Location: Ba Dinh Square and the main streets of Hanoi
Activities: Flag-raising ceremony, speeches, military parade, civil march, and large-scale artistic performances.
