Vietnam Airlines and Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS), a leading aviation services group in Asia, have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Hanoi. The agreement marks an important milestone in the National Flag Carrier of Vietnam’s strategy to expand international partnerships, opening up new development opportunities between two of the region’s leading aviation enterprises, while contributing to the strengthening of the aviation services ecosystem and the promotion of logistics development in the coming period.
SATS is currently one of Vietnam Airlines’ key partners in international markets, providing ground handling and cargo services at many major airports across the airline’s network, including Singapore, Bangkok, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Hong Kong, London, and Paris.
With consistently high service quality and a network spanning 27 countries, SATS makes a significant contribution to Vietnam Airlines’ international operations and serves as an important strategic partner in the airline’s ongoing efforts to enhance service quality.
Under the newly signed agreement, SATS will give priority to Vietnam Airlines in the provision of ground handling and cargo services at airports within its network, while supporting equipment, manpower, and operational solutions to ensure service quality meets high standards.
From Vietnam Airlines’ side, the airline will consider prioritizing the use of services provided by SATS and its affiliates when deploying operational packages in suitable markets, based on principles of safety, efficiency, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Both parties have agreed to continue discussions to implement future cooperation projects, including a proposal to develop a new cargo terminal in Vietnam.

This agreement not only strengthens the foundation for ground handling and cargo operations, but also expands the scope for coordination between Vietnam Airlines and SATS in specialized areas such as the development of aviation logistics chains and the optimization of operational processes.
The standardization of service quality in line with international best practices, together with technical support from SATS, will enable Vietnam Airlines to further enhance the customer experience and increase its competitiveness in international markets. At the same time, the agreement creates opportunities for both parties to explore the application of new technological solutions, improve operational efficiency, and work toward sustainable development objectives in the years ahead.
