At the age of seventy, Mua Se Sinh, who lives in Lao Xa village, Sung La commune, Dong Van district, is the most famous silver-carving artist on the Ha Giang Stone Plateau. A sixth-generation silversmith, Mr. Sinh inherited the essence of his family’s traditional craft and has worked tirelessly to preserve it for more than 50 years.

To create a piece of high quality carved silver jewelry involves many steps, including melting the silver, and molding, shaping, carving, and polishing the final piece. Every step requires dexterity and attention to detail.
