Reminiscense

The Reminiscence collection by Trinh Binh Thuy and Nguyen Kha Han tells the story of the visible and invisible ties between generations of Hanoi families. Old ideas develop and transform alongside new ones in the consciousness of every family member.

Having lived in France for many years, designer Kha Han’s strongest ties to Vietnam are her memories of Hanoi and her mother’s – designer Trinh Bich Thuy.

In addition to standard embroidery, quilting and saddle stitches, the two designers also employ techniques that allow the recycling and reuse of a significant amount of rags and excess fabric created over the long history of fashion design, exemplifying responsible and sustainable concepts.
