A soul- searching trip

This fashion story revolves around the solo journey of a young Vietnamese woman traveling across America. Her backpacking adventure lasted for months and spanned over 20 states from east to west. She wanted to leave behind her hectic, exhausting life and spend time solely for herself, immersed in the natural world. The beauty and embrace of nature, its absolute silence and solitude, were the remedies that balanced her soul. Through inner dialogue, she grew to understand herself better and rediscover the authentic being that had been lost amidst a fast-paced social life.

The Island life collection by XITA narrates this special solo journey – a trip that every modern woman should experience. The inspiration for this collection also draws on one of designer Katy Nguyen’s own transformative journeys.
